Who We Are

We meet annually at the location provided below to praise God, to be uplifted through testimonies, and to fellowship while having breakfast! We also meet the first Monday or Tuesday of each month and prayerfully consider relevant topics for Christian physicians and to share ideas to help and encourage our fellow physicians.

We welcome physician’s who wish to participate in the monthly and annual meetings!

William J Purkert, MD MMM FACS

Bill has served the Fairfax community in the private practice of general surgery for the last 30 years and has served our medical profession in leadership roles at local, state and national levels. During that time he has also assumed administrative roles in patient safety and quality with an advanced degree in medical management. His passion in the work of the Physician Prayer Breakfast lies in advancing the vital integration of faith and vocation in the medical profession. Outside of work Bill enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Dan Otchy, MD

Dan is a colorectal surgeon who is a partner in Fairfax Colon & Rectal Surgery PC. He joined the group in 2001 after completing a 21 year career in the US Army. Dan is an active member of Fairfax Community Church and has led small group bible studies for many years.

Peter G. Rothschild, MD

For over 30 years Peter has been practicing OB/GYN at Inova Fairfax Hospital. He is a member of CMDA. In the year 2000 he gave his life to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.  Through the talents God has given Peter, he seeks to grow in his faith by glorifying Him through medical mission work, which joyfully allows him to share the Gospel, while sharing fellowship with fellow Christians. He is very excited about the opportunity provided by the MD prayer breakfast and small group Bible study to grow Christian community among physician brothers and sisters in Northern Virginia.

Victoria Yongsook Suh, MD

Victoria is a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes in Cosmetic Surgery/Laser surgery and Breast Reconstruction for Breast Cancer Patients. She has served in leadership roles in the medical societies. She is active in medical mission through the Community Coalition for Haiti (CCH). Her greatest achievement in life was to accept Jesus Christ as her Mentor and Director. Although Physicians have a unique opportunity to change people’s lives everyday, the demands of the profession poses great challenges to the personal self. But, through the Lord’s Grace and through Christian Fellowship, she believes that physicians can be more effective in their mission. She invites everyone to the MD Prayer Breakfast Meeting, a Christian Fellowship for the Medical Professionals.
